The Well Built Healthy Buildings Consultancy Advisory Board provides independent strategic guidance, drawing on senior expertise across the built environment, health and sustainability sectors. The Board contributes insight on best practice, industry trends and thought leadership, supporting the quality and direction of our work through two annual strategic review meetings.

Dr. Marcella Ucci

Director of the University College London’s Bartlett Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering.

Her work spans sustainable building design and operation, indoor environmental quality, occupant comfort and wellbeing, and the health impacts of the built environment. She brings deep expertise in building performance monitoring, modelling, indoor air quality evaluation, active design principles, and human-centred building operation, all grounded in rigorous research and real-world impact.

As an Advisory Board Member for Well Built Healthy Buildings Consultancy, Marcella provides periodic strategic insight and expert perspective, contributing to key discussions on our approach to healthy building consultancy. Through scheduled advisory sessions, she supports the alignment of our vision and services with current research, best practice, and emerging thinking in health-focused building design and operation. Drawing on her leadership in education, policy engagement and multidisciplinary collaboration, she contributes expert perspective to key discussions shaping our long-term direction in healthy building consultancy.

Dr. E. Murat Tuzcu

Chief Academic Officer and Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

Dr Murat Tuzcu, emeritus professor of medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, Case Western University, is a globally respected academic cardiologist and healthcare leader. He has 50 years clinical and academic experience, focused on cardiovascular health, complex patient care, and advancing excellence in healthcare delivery within hospital and clinical environments. In addition to his clinical work, he was a sought-after educator and leading researcher. He brings a deep understanding of how medical outcomes are shaped by care models, operational systems, and the environments in which care is delivered.

As an Advisory Board Member, Dr. Tuzcu brings a senior clinical lens to built environment projects, linking healthcare outcomes with design, planning, and operational decisions. His input helps inform thinking across healthcare, medical research and education-focused projects, ensuring that healthy building strategies are grounded in real-world clinical insight supporting environments that enhance patient safety, recovery, staff performance, and overall wellbeing.

Dr. Francesco Aletta

Associate Professor in Building Physics and Soundscape at University College London

His work combines architectural training with research and teaching on environmental acoustics and soundscape, exploring how auditory environments are characterised, assessed and interpreted within built and urban contexts, and contributing to international standardisation efforts in soundscape research.

As an Advisory Board Member for Well Built , Francesco brings expertise in acoustic environment evaluation, evidence‑based methodologies, and interdisciplinary research approaches to inform our strategy and services. Through scheduled advisory session, he guides the integration of soundscape principles and rigorous analytical thinking into our healthy building consultancy practice, enhancing how we assess and communicate environmental conditions that affect occupant experience and wellbeing.

Dr. Victor Pineda

Global Advocate for Inclusion and Innovation | Pineda Foundation Berkely

Dr Victor Santiago Pineda is an internationally recognised leader in inclusive innovation, disability rights, and accessible urban development. An urban planner, scholar, and global advocate, his work focuses on advancing universal design, inclusive policy, and human-centred innovation to ensure equitable participation for people of all abilities. He brings deep expertise in inclusive cities, accessibility standards, rights-based policy frameworks, and innovation governance, grounded in research, lived experience, and global practice.

As an Advisory Board Member, Victor brings specialist insight on inclusive design within the wider context of healthy, high-performing buildings. Drawing on his global experience in accessibility, urban systems, and human-centred innovation, he advises on how inclusive thinking can be meaningfully integrated across services, supporting environments that promote dignity, usability, and wellbeing for diverse users while strengthening the social impact of our consultancy work.

Dr. Gemma Moore

Associate Professor in Health, Wellbeing and Communities at University College London

Dr.Gemma Moore, leads research and education on methodologies for collective knowledge production and transformational change in healthy built environments. Her academic work focuses on applied social science approaches to planning, evaluation and community engagement in built environment research and practice.

As an Advisory Board Member for Well Built, Gemma brings expertise in participatory approaches, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-led evaluation to strengthen how we develop, assess, and communicate healthy building strategies. Her insight supports the integration of social research methods into our consultancy work, helping ensure our projects are grounded in inclusive, reflective, and context-responsive practice.
